The fine print, kept short.
The AI Fluency Index is a free, self-serve diagnostic published by Point Nine for educational and informational purposes. Using it means you agree to the terms below.
01What this is
The AI Fluency Index ("the Index") is a benchmarking diagnostic that asks nine questions about how a company uses AI and returns a score, a tier (L0–L5), and a list of suggested next moves. Scoring is derived from publicly-available rubrics published by Zapier, Fin, Shopify, Ramp, Jobber, and Anthropic. The Index is provided free of charge and without warranty.
02What this isn't
The Index is not investment advice, legal advice, employment guidance, or a procurement recommendation. It is a heuristic. Scores and prescriptions reflect a point-in-time view of self-reported answers and should not be used as the sole basis for hiring, firing, fund-raising, valuation, or vendor decisions.
03Acceptable use
You agree to use the Index in good faith. Specifically, you will not:
- scrape, mirror, or systematically reproduce the diagnostic, scoring logic, or report-card output without written permission;
- misrepresent your score or tier to third parties as an audited or certified result;
- use the Index in any way that violates applicable law.
04Privacy & data
The Index runs in your browser. Your in-progress quiz state is saved to your browser's localStorage so you can resume where you left off — it is not synced to any server.
When you finish the diagnostic, your anonymous result data is submitted to Point Nine's hosting provider (Netlify Forms): your score, level, per-dimension breakdown, the raw 0–5 answers to each question, a timestamp, and the company domain you typed if you used the “personalize” input. We use this to study response patterns, calibrate the framework, and prioritize improvements. We do not collect your name, email, or any other personally-identifying information.
If you use the “personalize” input to add a company logo to your card, your typed domain is sent to third-party logo providers (Clearbit, icon.horse, Google) so they can return the matching image. We do not store the personalized card on our servers.
Standard web request logs retained by our hosting provider (Netlify) may include your IP address and user-agent for a limited time, per their privacy policy.
Your result is yours to share. Point Nine does not associate your result with your identity and does not share results with portfolio companies.
05Intellectual property
The Index — its question set, scoring rubric, tier names, copy, and visual design — is © 2026 Point Nine Capital. The underlying source materials (Zapier's V2 rubric, Fin's throughput metrics, Shopify's culture memo, Ramp's Dojo write-up, Jobber's eight-level ladder, Anthropic's fluency research) belong to their respective authors and are linked in the Sources section of the home page. You may share screenshots of your own report card freely.
06No warranty
The Index is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Point Nine does not warrant that the Index will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores will produce any particular result.
07Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Point Nine, its partners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Index — including, without limitation, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made in reliance on a score or recommendation.
08Changes
We may update these terms or the Index itself at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the version number and effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
